Báite / Sold-out premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Báite on your sold-out premiere at this year's Galway Film Fleadh. Special shout-out to casting director Máiréad Campbell, whose thoughtful casting helped bring these characters to life with such authenticity and heart.
We had the chance to see an early cut of this bilingual film, and it’s stayed with us ever since. If you've booked tickets to see it at the Fleadh, you're in for a treat.
Beautifully directed by Ruán Magan, and starring Eleanor O’Brien, Moe Dunford, Pádraig Ó Loingsigh, Juliette Crosbie, Denis Conway, Gearóid Kavanagh, Fionnuala Gygax, Mark MacGearailt, Aonghus Óg McAnally, Tara Breathnach and Oisín Mistéil.
"September 1975. Peggy Casey prepares for a big weekend of fishing, and her pub will be full to the door. When a body is found in the receding waters of a lake, the discovery is big news in the locale.
Detective Sergeant Frank Ryan is sent from Dublin, and what he discovers sheds a disturbing insight into the history of the valley and the difficult relationships that bind Peggy and the three older members of her family.
Over the course of his investigation, Detective Ryan not only reveals the terrible truth behind the dead woman’s story but also the deepest secrets of the Casey family."
